I've been back from Senegal for a month now. I've been trying to get the story together to pitch it to various publications, but I feel stuck. I have so many different ideas I don't know where to start. My experience was amazing. The women I went with were so giving, kind and generous. The midwives were eager to learn and happy we were there. The women who came and waited hours to be screened were determined and always dressed in amazing clothes. I was so impressed with everyone I met. Their kindness, their willingness to learn and of course their style made this trip one to remember. But, I'm not a writer and I'm finding it hard to put things into words that make sense and are interesting. I know there's a great story to share and I will get it together. It'll just take a little more time.
